WhatsApp has recently introduced its Channels feature in India, offering a more personalized way for private individuals to receive important updates. This feature is part of Meta’s, the parent company of WhatsApp, vision to establish a private broadcasting service using WhatsApp Channels. Recently, they also released a feature to use two WhatsApp accounts in one mobile.
What Are WhatsApp Channels?
WhatsApp Channels serve as a one-way broadcasting tool, enabling administrators to share a variety of content, including text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. The company is actively working on creating a searchable directory to help users discover channels that align with their interests. This directory will enable users to explore channels related to their hobbies, favorite sports teams, local authority updates, and more. Additionally, users can join WhatsApp Channels by following invitation links shared in chats, emails, or on the web. You can read about how to run six WhatsApp profiles on a single Android device.
Following and Unfollowing WhatsApp Channels
Following a WhatsApp Channel is a straightforward process, and we’ve previously explained how to do it [here](insert a link to the guide on following WhatsApp Channels). However, if you wish to unfollow a channel, you can do so easily by following these steps:
- Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
- Navigate to the Updates tab.
- Open the Channel you want to unfollow.
- Tap on the three-dot menu and select “Unfollow.”
- Confirm your decision by clicking “Unfollow.”
This simple process allows users to tailor their WhatsApp experience by selecting and unfollowing channels as per their preferences, ensuring they receive the updates that matter most to them.
WhatsApp recently released multiple features like Sharing Screens on WhatsApp, Sharing HD Photos on WhatsApp, a Video Messaging Feature for iPhone Users and Group video calls using WhatsApp on Mac.
