How to block admins and Manage Annoyance in WhatsApp Groups

WhatsApp

We’ve all found ourselves trapped in a WhatsApp group where the authority of one admin threatens to transform the conversation into a toxic environment. But what if leaving the group is not an option? Is it possible to block a group admin without exiting or escalating the drama further? Fortunately, the answer is yes. While you can’t directly strip them of their admin status, you can effectively block them as a user, thereby limiting their direct interaction with you. Blocking an entire group is currently not an option, but you can exit the group and individually block the group admin. Recently WhatsApp has introduced the “Secret Code” feature. This enhancement proves particularly valuable in scenarios where others might gain access to your phone or when sharing your device.

Additionally, you can control who can add you to groups by adjusting your group privacy settings, but that’s a discussion for another time. Here, we’ll guide you through the steps to block group admins, and there are a couple of methods to achieve this.
