Are you looking for the Samsung Galaxy Android Oreo Update List? Let’s find them together in this post.
This period of the year is when all the Android users hope and look for the Android Oreo update. And just like the old times, the Samsung users are waiting for an official confirmation from the company to know if their mobiles are eligible to get the latest Oreo update for Galaxy devices. If you are one of them, we have a small piece of advice for you. You are probably not going to get any such information from the company. But if your device is eligible, chances are there for you to get a surprise by the end of the year.
The beta program of Android Oreo for the Samsung mobiles are also not open either. However, if you are waiting for the Oreo update for Galaxy smartphones, you must note a few things about the history of the Samsung in delivering updates to its flagship smartphones.
Things to note if you are looking for Samsung Galaxy Android Oreo Update List:
- If you would look at the history of Samsung Mobiles, the company has always given only two major updates for its smartphones.
- The smartphones which were launched two years ago are also not likely to receive the latest updates.
If your mobile doesn’t satisfy these conditions, then you are likely to receive Android 8 on Galaxy mobile.
That’s why we have come up with a list of Samsung smartphones which satisfy the above-mentioned conditions and which we believe are eligible to get the Android Oreo update. See if your mobile is on the list.
- Galaxy Tab S3
- Galaxy Note 7 FE
- Galaxy J5 (2017)
- Galaxy J7 (2017)
- Galaxy A3 (2017)
- Galaxy A5 (2017)
- Galaxy A7 (2017)
- Galaxy S7 Active
- Galaxy S7 Edge
- Galaxy S7

You must also keep in mind that if you get any software update notification, it might not be the case that you are going to get the Oreo update. Because the company is still delivering the August security patch to some of its mobiles. We can expect the same to be continued in September as well.
Galaxy Mobiles which might not get the Oreo Update
We have also come up with a list that might not get the Oreo update. They are listed below:
- Galaxy J2 (2016)
- Galaxy J3 (2016)
- Galaxy A3 (2016)
- Galaxy A5 (2016)
- Galaxy A7 (2016)
- Galaxy Note 5
- Galaxy S6 Active
- Galaxy S6 Edge
- Galaxy S6
These mobiles might last only with the Nougat version.
P.S: There is no official confirmation from the Samsung. But as far as the history of the South Korean company in delivering new Android updates is concerned, this must become a reality by the end of this year. That’s when we can expect all the mobiles to receive the Android Oreo update.
