But, at times when you have been using the Facebook owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp you are happy to do some tweaks in setting as per need. From so many feature one of the feature that WhatsApp provide is to hide your WhatsApp profile from specific contacts.
While, most of the social media platform like Twitter or Facebook have option to logout from the app to go invisible. There is no way to log out or do direct setting in WhatsApp that let you hide your WhatsApp profile picture. But you have option to do the privacy setting for your WhatsApp profile picture like you can change the setting from visible to Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody. So, here in this guide we have shared the steps how you can hide your WhatsApp profile picture without blocking any specific contact or multiple contacts.

Here are the steps how you can hide WhatsApp profile picture for specific contacts or multiple people
- Open ‘Contacts’ app on your smartphone
- Look for contact you want to hide your WhatsApp profile picture from
- DELETE the required contact from your smartphone
- Now Open the WhatsApp app
- Tap on the three-dot from the top right corner and tap on Settings.
- Go to ‘Account’ option and tap on it
- Look for ‘Privacy’ option and tap on it
- Now, tap on ‘Profile Photo’ it will open three options ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’, ‘Nobody’
- Select ‘My Contacts’.
Once this setting is done any mobile number that has not been added in your ‘Contacts’ app will not be able to see your WhatsApp profile picture.
You can repeat these options for whoever contacts you do not want to show your WhatsApp profile picture.
Note: ‘Everyone’ selection shows your WhatsApp profile picture to everyone whoever has your number. ‘My Contacts’ selection will show your WhatsApp profile picture to only those whose number is added in your contact. ‘Nobody’ selection will hide your WhatsApp profile picture from everyone.
Your WhatsApp app should be updated with latest version (2.18) from your respective app store.
