The term VoWiFi has been trending all over the Internet nowadays. However, so far this feature of calling over Wi-Fi has been rolling out only for Airtel and Jio users on selected smartphones. Here we have listed down all the smartphones that support WiFi calling on Jio.
First, let’s see how to enable VoWifi on your smartphones. The prerequisites for a smartphone to use VoWifi are that it should have Wi-Fi Calling Capability and 4G VoLTE SIM (Airtel). According to Jio, this will offer improved indoor coverage, faster connectivity, and crystal-clear conversations as if you are next to each other.

What is VoWifi:
VoWiFi is a new technology that allows users to receive and make calls over a Wi-Fi network. The full form of VoWiFi is Voice over Wi-Fi and this feature helps the delivery of telephone services using Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies from mobile devices connected across Wi-Fi.
Steps on How to enable VoWiFi on smartphones
Step 1: Tap on the settings
Step 2: Look for Wi-Fi calling feature
Step 3: Tap on it to enable Wi-Fi calling option
Step 4: Switch on both VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling option
Step 5: Then connect to a Wi-Fi network
Step 6: Now you can start making Wi-Fi calls anywhere in India the same you do general voice calls.
Step 7: For best-quality calling your phone will automatically toggle between Wi-Fi and cellular network
