As, expected HMD Global announced the Nokia 8.1 aka Nokia Phoenix today as promised. The Nokia 8.1 smartphone is the global variant of Nokia X7 smartphone. Although, there is no change in specifications and it is same as Nokia X7, but Nokia 8.1 phone run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box. It sports 6.18-inch (2246 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Puredisplay with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 with Adreno 616 GPU upto 6 GB RAM and runs on Android Pie.
It has dual rear camera the primary is 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and secondary 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front side it has 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also has AI beauty and AI portrait Mode, 6 AI studio lights, AI expressions and new dual-view mode. It has a 6 series aluminum-magnesium alloy frame, glass back, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and packs a 3500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Price and availability
The Nokia 8.1 is priced at 399 Euros (US$ 452/Rs. 31,900 approx.) and comes in Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, Iron/Steel colors. It will be available in UAE from December 15th priced at 1,499 Dirham (US$ 408/Rs. 28,805 approx.) with pre-orders starting tomorrow. But it will be available in rest of middle East from December 20th. The company said that it will launch in India soon.
