Last month Nokia X7 was introduced in China, but there was rumor that it will be launched as Nokia 8.1. Well, the rumor was right and Nokia 8.1 aka Nokia Phoenix is the global variant of Nokia X7 smartphone. It will be introduced at an event in Dubai on December 5th according to marketing materials that have surfaced online.
Although, there is no change in specifications and it is same as Nokia X7, but this will run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box. It sports 6.18-inch (2246 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Puredisplay with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 with Adreno 616 GPU upto 6 GB RAM and runs on Android Pie.
It has dual rear camera the primary is 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and secondary 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the front side it has 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The mobile packs 3500mAh (typical) / 3400mAh (minimum) battery with fast charging.

It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) with Adreno 616 GPU and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie).

The device comes with two variants 4GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage and 6GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 128GB (eMMC 5.1) storage, the storage memory can be expanded up to 400GB with microSD card.

It has dual rear camera the primary is 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1/2.55″ Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixels, OIS, and secondary 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture
On the front side it has 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The device supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) and 3.5mm audio jack, Nokia OZO Stereo Audio recording. It has Fingerprint sensor on the back of phone.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 3500mAh (typical) / 3400mAh (minimum) battery with fast charging, it has a size measurement of 154.8×75.76×7.97mm and weight 178g.
Price and availability
The Nokia 8.1 price has not been disclosed yet and will get to know when it goes official next Wednesday. However, the Nokia 8.1 aka Nokia Phoenix will come in Red, Silver and Blue colors.
