Snapchat is working on a new feature called “Stories Everywhere” which will expand the availability of the stories outside the app for the first time. To accomplish this mission, the company has roped in Rahul Chopra, the former senior Vice President and Global Head of Video at News Corp.
Don’t Miss: Snap Map by Snapchat launched globally to share location with friends
This is going to be an intelligent move by the company which will not only help it fetch more reach, but also increase its revenue. Recently, SnapChat updated with new feature in Filters that can recognize objects in Photos. This should also satisfy the investors who have been pressuring the company to grow its revenue.
The new “Stories Everywhere” feature is still said to be in its initial stages and therefore Mr Chopra has a very big task on how to get more viewers for the same. We can expect the company to launch a web player or something of that sort to accomplish this mission. Six years ago, Twitter made a similar decision by allowing the developers of other websites to embed the tweets in their posts and articles.
Though the company is declining to comment on this regard, it is very evident that Snapchat has more plans under its shelves to rock the 2018 year. That’s what the recent reshuffling and recruiting in the top management tell us.
As the feature is still in its baby stages, it might not be available for all the users out there. Snapchat is seriously hoping to win more number of users through initiatives like this. It is one of the platforms that contains exciting user content. So we can rate this move by the company as a smart one.
However, it is still very early to comment. Anyways share us your views on the same in the comments section below.
