Vivo V79 with 5.99″ Fullview display announced

Vivo announced the company’s latest smartphone, Vivo V79 with full view display at an aspect ratio of 18:9. The mobile sports a 24-megapixel front camera with LED Flash besides the 16-megapixel primary camera. It is powered by the combination of Snapdragon 625 processor and 4 GB RAM besides running on the Funtouch OS 3.2 which is based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.

The smartphone sports a 5.99-inch 18:9 fullview 2.5D curved glass display at a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by the combination of 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU and runs on Funtouch OS 3.2 which is based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.

Storage

The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB using the microSD card

Camera

It has 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision OV16880 sensor, PDAF and 24MP front-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture.

The device is equipped with fingerprint sensor besides supporting 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and Dual SIM connectivity features.

The battery in Y79 smartphone is a 3225mAh built-in battery and weighs 160 grams with 155.87 × 75.7 × 7.7mm size measurements.

Price and Availability

Vivo V79 smartphone will be available in Matte Black, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colors at a price of 2498 yuan (US$ 376 / Rs. 24470) in China.
