Redmi Y1 Lite with 5.5″ display, Infrared sensor launched

The Xiaomi has also launched the company’s latest smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite in India. It sports 5.5-inch HD screen, packs 13-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash, PDAF and 5-megapixel front camera.

It is powered by a combination of 2 GB RAM and Snapdragon 425 processor besides running on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. Unlike the Redmi Y1 smartphone, the Lite version doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 70 % NTSC color gamut, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 450 nits brightness.

It is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. The OS can be upgraded later to MIUI 9.

Storage

The mobile comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. The internal memory can be expanded to 128 GB using the microSD card.

The mobile is equipped with an Infrared sensor on board besides supporting 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS and Dual SIM connectivity features.

The mobile packs 3080mAh (typical) / 3000mAh (minimum) battery and weighs 150 grams with 153× 76.2 × 7.55mm size measurements.

Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite will be available in Dark Gray and Gold colors at a price of Rs 6999 exclusively via Amazon.in and Mi.com from November 8.
