Google announced the company’s latest home device, Google Home Max which is the bigger version of Home smart speaker that is all set to contest with Apple’s HomePod and Sonos. The Home Max in simple words is a stereo speaker which is powered by Google Assistant and shares similarities with Apple’s old Hi-Fi speaker which was launched a decade ago.
Home Max sports two 4.5-inch woofers in addition to the tweeters by a fabric speaker grille. The device also comes with far-field microphones which according to the Google can be used to hear you even while playing music.

Using a machine learning feature called Smart Sound, Google says that the latest Home Max can adjust itself to the room in which it is placed, something like the Apple’s HomePod. The company is also claiming that the Home Max can tune the audio you’re listening to, may it be a phone call, podcast or a song. It can also take decisions to either increase or lower the volume depending on what’s happening in your house.
You can place the Home Max on its side and you will be able to prevent it from falling with the help of the magnets. The device supports Bluetooth as well as Google cast besides featuring touch controls and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Google Home Max can be more powerful by being 20 times better than the original Google Home. It also supports Bluetooth and auxiliary port besides working with a wide range of music services.
The Google Home Max will be available in Chalk and Charcoal colors at a price of $399. The purchase also includes an ad-free YouTube subscription offer. The pre-order of the gadget will begin on November 13 via Google Store, Best Buy, and other retailers.
