As promised, the Honor brand by Huawei announced the company’s latest smartphone, Honor V9 Play. The mobile packs 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, 13 MP Camera and much more. The device features a unibody metal design. Let us now have a detailed look at its specifications.

Honor V9 Play Specifications
The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with 65 % NTSC color gamut.
It is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor with Mali T860 GPU and runs on EMUI 5.1 which is based on Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box.
The device comes with 3 GB or 4 GB RAM variants with 32 GB (eMMC 5.1) storage. The internal memory can be expanded to 128 GB using the microSD card.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 5P lens and 8MP front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity and Sensors
The device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back which can unlock in 0.4 seconds besides supporting 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / GLONASS and Hybrid Dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD) connectivity features.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 3000mAh (typical) / 2900mAh (minimum) battery and weighs 145 grams with 147.9×73.2×7.65mm size measurements.
Price and availability
The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, Red, Rose Gold and Gold colors at a price of 999 Yuan and 1199 Yuan for the 3 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM versions respectively. The mobile is currently available for order in China and it will go on sale from September 12.
The Honor or Huawei brands are known for integrating the dual cameras in its smartphones. The company could have tried adding the dual camera system in the V9 Play, and it could have given the Chinese brand an edge over its competitors.
