The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 72% NTSC color gamut.


It is powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.


The mobile comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD card.


It has 13-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity and Sensors

The device is equipped with Infrared sensor besides supporting 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD) connectivity features.

Redmi 4A packs a 3030mAh (minimum) / 3120mAh (typical) battery and weighs 131.5 grams with 139.5×70.4×8.5mm size measurements.
