
As promised, Xiaomi launched the company’s latest Smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 5S at an event in China.

The Smartphone sports a 5.15-inch full HD pressure-sensitive display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 94.4 % NTSC color gamut, 600 nits brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by 2.15GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 that is based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The device will be available in two variants of 3 GB RAM / 64 GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage and 4 GB RAM / 128 GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage.

It has a 12 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 120fps slomo at 720pm 4K video recording, PDAF, Sony IMX378 1/2.3-inch sensor and 4 MP Selfie camera with 1080p video recording, 80-degree wide angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, 2um pixels. The device supports Dual SIM (nano + nano), USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band (MU-MIMO) and 4G VoLTE. It relies on a 3200 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Xiaomi Mi 5S is priced at 1999 yuan (US$ 299/ Rs. 19,920 approx.) and 2299 yuan (US$ 344 / Rs. 22,910 approx.) for the 3 GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM/ 128 GB ROM variants respectively. The sale will go on from September 29 in China.
