HTC launched HTC 10, the company’s latest flagship Smartphone. Unlike its predecessors, the Smartphone is named only ‘HTC 10’ without any ‘M’ in between such as HTC One M8 and HTC One M9.
The company revealed that the Smartphone will be available in two variants, HTC 10 and HTC Lifestyle in terms of the processor. However, both the devices share the same display, camera, audio, design and battery life.
HTC 10 Specifications
HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display at a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with a pixel density of 564 ppi which is protected by curved edge Gorilla Glass. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will be in two variants, HTC 10 and HTC 10 lifestyle. While the former which is a US variant is powered by a 4 GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that is clocked at 2.2 GHz, the latter which is an Indian variant is powered by a 3 GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor that is clocked at 1.8 GHz.
The US variant will be available again in two kinds with 32 GB and 64 GB internal storages. The Indian variant on the other hand will be available only with 32 GB internal storage. The device runs on HTC Sense which is based on Android Marshmallow.
HTC 10 sports a 12 MP primary camera with dual-LED (dual tone) flash, laser autofocus, OIS, f/1.8 and a Selfie camera of 5 MP with HDR, 1.34 µm pixel size, autofocus, OIS and f/1.8. The other features of the primary camera includes panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus, geo-tagging with 1.55µm pixel size and can be used to shoot and record 12-bit RAW and 4K 2160p videos.
The audio department of the device boasts HTC BoomSound, Dolby Audio with three noise cancellation microphones. It is also packed with a fingerprint sensor and supports USB Type-C, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5GHz) and 4G LTE. It boasts a massive 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
It is priced at $699( Rs 46,420) and will be available in Camellia Red, Topaz Gold, Glacier Silver and Carbon Grey colors and will start rolling out in May.
