Deactivate your Account before you remove your number from Truecaller
You will have to deactivate your account first in order to remove your number from the Truecaller database. You cannot use Truecaller and remove your number at the same time.
To deactivate your account on iPhone
Open the Truecaller app > Select the gear icon that is located in the upper right corner > Tap About TrueCaller > Select Deactivate account after scrolling down
To deactivate your account on Android
Open the Truecaller app > Open the Settings by tapping the profile icon in the upper left corner > Tap About > Tap Deactivate Account
To deactivate your account on Windows
Open the Truecaller app > Open the Settings by tapping the three dots in the bottom right corner > Tap Help > Tap Deactivate account
After deactivating your account in Truecaller, you can carry on to the next step of the process.
How to remove your number from Truecaller
Open www.truecaller.com/unlist
Enter your phone number followed by choosing a reason to unlist your number and entering the captcha verification code.
That’s it. The process to unlist your number is now initiated.
According to Truecaller, it takes around 24 hours for the changes to get reflected. But, there are also chances for your number to pop up back in the database when a new person who has the Truecaller app installed on his Smartphone saves your number. Therefore, you will have to keep a tab on Truecaller now and then to know whether your number has been added again.
