Google drive gets a search update

google drive gets a search update
Gone are the days of relying on storage devices from flash drives to hard disks to store your data. With cloud services available to you in a few clicks away, saving your personal and crucial data is easy as one-two-three. With its larger user base, Google definitely has a huge number of users for its cloud servicing platform Google Drive.

And thanks to the most recent update in the Google drive, searching for files in Google Drives is now easier with advanced search options to narrow your searches.
The search in Google drive earlier allowed users to search the files only by file name.
But, here on-wards you will be able to search the files by file type, last modified date and owner of the file. The advanced search options window also contains options to search the files by the words it contain, or by the person with whom you have shared the file with.
To open the advanced search box options –> Hit search bar and select “more search tools”.
If you are unable to find this feature, be patient, because according to Google the roll out of this feature will happen in the next few weeks and not everyone will have access to it.
So, you are certainly going to save a lot of time while searching in Google Drive if you have all the information handy.
