Samsung has recently unveiled the Galaxy A05, marking the latest addition to its A series of smartphones in India. This device, initially introduced in September, boasts a sizable 6.7-inch HD+ display complemented by an 8MP front camera neatly housed within the notch.
Running on Android 13 with the OneUI core overlay, Samsung guarantees users a four-year period of security updates and commits to providing two generations of OS upgrades. The phone is equipped with a robust 50MP rear camera, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. In addition, it incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, adding an extra layer of security to the device.
Powering the Galaxy A05 is a substantial 5000mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging. However, it’s noteworthy that the device doesn’t include a charger in the package, following the current trend in some smartphone releases. The starting price for the Samsung Galaxy A05 in India is set at Rs. 9999.

On the front side, it has an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C. It has Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD), a 3.5mm audio jack, and also features a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging the phone dimensions are 168.8 x 78.2 x 8.8mm and the weight is 195g.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A05 is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model, while it costs Rs 12,499 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The phone comes in Light Green, Silver, and Black colors.
It will be available across Samsung exclusive and retail stores, Samsung.com, and other online portals.
