Xiaomi 14 Pro specifications

Xiaomi recently unveiled not one but two exciting additions to its smartphone lineup, the Xiaomi 14 and the top-tier Xiaomi 14 Pro, during a high-profile event in China. The standout feature of the Xiaomi 14 Pro is its cutting-edge 6.78-inch 2K C8 OLED LTPO display, a collaborative effort between Xiaomi and CSOT. This exceptional screen boasts a remarkable peak brightness of 3000 nits, a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, and full support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies. Furthermore, it incorporates a 1920Hz PWM dimming feature for enhanced visual quality.

The All Around Liquid Display, a groundbreaking innovation, gently curves along all four edges and corners, ensuring a consistent curvature. This design maintains the sleek appearance of a flat screen while delivering the pleasant tactile sensation of a curved edge. Xiaomi claims that this display effectively addresses common issues found in traditional curved screens, including screen distortion, color inconsistencies, unintended touches, and reliability concerns. When viewed from specific angles, it imparts the illusion that content is suspended above the screen, delivering a completely novel visual and tactile experience.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The device employs a Circular cold pump cooling system with a Vapor-liquid separation design and a one-way circulation structure, promising a threefold boost in performance compared to conventional VC cooling systems.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary camera equipped with a large 1/1.31″ 1.2μm sensor and a variable aperture ranging from f/1.42 to f/4. This allows for stunning background blur and exceptional detail capture. Users can even manually adjust the aperture value in 1/3 EV increments for precise exposure control. The Xiaomi 14 Pro also features a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, all featuring Leica Summilux lenses. Additionally, the device is equipped with a natural haptic feedback engine jointly developed with Tsinghua University and boasts a 1016 CyberEngine motor for an immersive user experience.

On the power front, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is fueled by a robust 4880mAh battery. It supports blazing-fast 120W wired charging, capable of reaching a full charge in just 18 minutes, as well as 50W wireless charging, which achieves a 100% charge in a mere 40 minutes. For added versatility, the device includes 10W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi has equipped it with two Xiaomi Surge P2 charging chipsets and one Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipset. Furthermore, the phone holds an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, providing added durability and peace of mind.

For those looking for a touch of luxury, Xiaomi offers the Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Metal Special Edition. This edition features a titanium middle frame, double-sided Xiaomi Dragon Crystal glass, and an eye-catching orange halo finish surrounding the camera decoration, elevating the device’s aesthetic appeal.
