Vivo Y100 5G specifications

vivo has recently introduced the Vivo Y200 5G, their latest addition to the Y series of 5G smartphones in China. Now, they announced the new Vivo Y100 5G. This new device boasts a range of impressive features, including a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with a rapid 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8MP front camera housed within a subtle notch. Running on Android 13 with Origin OS 3, the vivo Y100 5G promises a compelling user experience.

One of the standout features of this smartphone is the AI Virtual Proximity Sensor, aptly named ‘INNER BEAUTY,’ developed in collaboration with Elliptic Labs. This sensor intelligently detects when a user holds the phone up to their ear during a call, prompting the device to turn off its display and disable touch functionality. By replacing traditional hardware sensors with software-based solutions, this innovation not only enhances the user experience but also reduces device costs and eliminates sourcing risks, according to Elliptic Labs.

Under the hood, the vivo Y100 5G is powered by the capable Snapdragon 695 processor, offering up to 12GB of RAM and even supporting 12GB of extended RAM. The phone further impresses with a 64MP rear camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 2MP depth sensor for enhanced photography capabilities.

Durability is another key aspect of this smartphone’s design. Constructed with a high-strength aluminum alloy frame and new cushioning materials, it’s built to withstand accidental drops. The device boasts an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, providing added peace of mind for everyday use. Despite its robust build and substantial 5000mAh battery, the phone maintains a sleek 7.49mm profile.

The Black variant of the vivo Y100 5G features a quicksand texture on its back cover, achieved through nano-level coating technology. On the other hand, the Green model showcases feather-like textures reminiscent of a gentle breeze and rolling clouds. Meanwhile, the Blue version sports a nano-scale enamel texture coating, giving it the appearance of countless stars twinkling in the night sky.

In summary, the vivo Y100 5G offers an enticing blend of innovative features, powerful performance, and a stylish design, making it a compelling option for those seeking a 5G-capable smartphone.
