OPPO has introduced its latest 5G smartphone, the A79 5G, in India as an addition to its popular A series. This launch follows the initial release back in August. The device boasts a spacious 6.72-inch LCD screen with a rapid 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Dimensity 6020 SoC, essentially a rebranded Dimensity 700 chipset. It comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.
On the camera front, the OPPO A79 5G features a 50MP primary rear camera alongside a 2MP portrait camera, while the front accommodates an 8MP selfie shooter. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security and a polycarbonate frame designed to offer a metallic texture. Additionally, it possesses IP54 ratings for protection against dust and water. All these features are fueled by a robust 5000mAh battery, coupled with a 33W SuperVOOC fast charging capability, which can recharge the battery to 51% in just 30 minutes.
