Apple announced the latest iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models both with 5G support at an event. The iPhone 12 Pro sports 6.1-inch, while iPhone 12 Pro Max sports a 6.7-inch screen Both iPhone have OLED Super Retina XDR displays and support for HDR and Dolby Vision. Thanks to a new high temperature crystallisation step that grows nano-ceramic crystals within the glass matrix that bring the new Ceramic Shield protection with 4x better drop performance. As rumoured earlier, the phones don’t have charger in the box.
Both iPhone are powered by A14 Bionic 5nm Chip with 11.8 billion transistors and a 6-core design and comes with iOS 14. These iPhone also feature IP68 water resistance (6 meters for up to 30 minutes). The phones have textured matt glass back and stainless steel body. Apple said: “These iPhone 12 Pro models are the first in the world to enable an end-to-end experience for HDR video with Dolby Vision up to 60 fps”. Dolby Vision grading is processed live and sustained during editing in the Photos app or iMovie, and is coming to Final Cut Pro X later this year.
