Xiaomi’s Redmi brand announced the latest Smartphone Redmi 8A Pro in Indonesia, which was launched as Redmi 8A Dual in India. This phone sports a a 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with Dot Drop Notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 SoC with up to 3GB RAM and runs Android Pie with MIUI 11 on top. The phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor but comes with face unlock. It has a plastic back with Aura X Grip and comes with splash resistant nano-coating.
The Redmi 8A Pro features dual rear cameras the primary is a 13MP camera with a secondary 2MP. On the front side it has an 8MP camera. This phone features dedicated dual SIM slots and packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging (10W charger in the box) via USB Type-C port and also comes with support for reverse charging.

The device comes with 2GB / 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage, and expandable memory up to 512GB with microSD.
Camera
The phone features quad rear cameras 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.
On the front side it has 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity and Sensors
The device supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with VoWiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. It has Dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD), 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless FM Radio, Splash resistant (P2i coating) and comes with face unlock.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 5000mAh (typical) battery with 18W fast charging. The phone has a size measurement of Dimensions: 156.48×75.41×9.4mm and weight is 188g.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 8A Pro is priced at 1549000 Indonesian Rupiah (US$ 93 / Rs. 7132 approx.) for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version. While it costs 1649000 Indonesian Rupiah (US$ 99 /Rs. 7592) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version. The phone comes in Midnight Grey, Sea Blue and Sky White colors and will go on sale later this month in Indonesia.
