There were some rumors that the company might launch several smartphones, and the POCO X2 could be one of these, which the POCO India GM didn’t deny. Last month in a new interview POCO India GM C Manmohan had also confirmed that POCO will launch its next product in the Indian market next month. They had also posted POCO S02 E01 teaser video with tag line YKWIM “If You Know What I Mean”, and the first screen shows hints of POCO X2.
In interviews, POCO India General Manager C Manmohan said that the next POCO smartphone will be a value-for-money flagship and will feature high-end SoC and a large amount of RAM.
As, per latest update a new teaser on Flipkart has confirmed that POCO will launch the POCO X2 smartphone in India on February 4th on Flipkart. The teaser image shows 120Hz refresh rate for the POCO phone which is one of the extreme refresh rate.
For specification of POCO X2 smartphone it might have LCD screen and it is powered by Snapdragon SoC with support for liquid cooling. That confirms this phone would be best for playing games and running heavy apps. It can smoothly run heavy sports apps that use live data such as the sports interaction app. For, camera it features pop-up front camera with Sony IMX686 64-megapixel 1/1.7″ sensor along with a secondary camera. It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, below the camera module.
The POCO X2 smartphone also have support for fast charging, a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port and bottom-ported loudspeaker. The body of this phone could be a plastic body similar to POCO F1 as it doesn’t show antenna cutouts.
For user to show the screen refresh rate of the phone they use, the company has launched the smoothaf.co.in website. As, per the available data if your phone refresh rate is 60Hz it says that it’s almost 2 decades. And, if your phone shows the refresh rate of 90Hz a pop up message shows “You thought you are smooth and fast all this while”, so the POCO X2 should have a 120Hz refresh rate.
The POCO India GM C Manmohan confirmed that POCO will have its own sales and marketing team. However certain services such as supply chain and after sales support will be leveraged from Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
All users are eagerly waiting for the new POCO X2 smartphone. We just need to wait for 1 more day and we will have more detail on POCO X2 by Feb 4th 2020.
