It is very likely that they have set you and your team deadlines and a budget they expect to be kept. With that in mind, keep them updated on progress and reassure them that everything is going as planned. Don’t allow yourself to become distracted by the team so that you forget to keep management up to speed and they will invariably step back and allow you to get on with the job.
Set Targets
What will your printed circuit board design budget be? Well, that completely depends on what has been decided that the company can afford or is willing to spend on this part of the process. This will most likely differ from project to project. It may well prove useful to inform your team of the budget and make it clear how important it is that this part of the process stays within it.
Things can get quite expensive so if you aren’t keeping track of expenditure then you could run into issues later. Set targets and check in with your team along the way.
Allow For Open Communication
Any team leader, in any industry, needs to be able to communicate effectively with their team and vice versa. This is extremely important in PCB design as everyone involved has to be on the same page when it comes to deadlines and targets. As a team leader you should encourage an open door policy and also allow your team to chat throughout the progression of the project.

A faulty design can lead to serious problems if the issue is not identified prior to the manufacturing phase of the project.
