Xiaomi today announced the company’s latest mid-range Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 smartphone under the new ‘Redmi by Xiaomi’ brand in China. The Redmi Note 7 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ waterdrop notch display with 1.95mm narrow bezels. This phone is powered by Snapdragon 660 with up to 6GB of RAM and runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. It has a glass back with gradient design and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
This phone features dual rear camera, the primary is a first time 48MP rear camera with 1/2″ Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, f/1.8 aperture with four-in-one pixel binning to make an 12MP image with 1.6μm pixel. While, the secondary rear camera is a 5MP camera for portrait shots and also comes with AI features. On the front side it has a 13MP camera. It packs a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0.

It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 512 GPU and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10.

The device comes with 3GB LPDDR4x RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB storage. The storage memory can be expanded up to 256GB with microSD card.

It has dual rear camera the primary is a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, secondary 2MP camera.
On the front side it has 13MP front-facing camera.

The device supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 /5GHz) Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD). It has 3.5mm audio jack, AK 98937 Smart PA and also comes with rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor as well as features IR sensor.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 4000mAh (typical) battery with Quick Charge 4, while the size of phone is 159.21 x 75.21 x 8.1mm and weight is 186g.
Price and availability
The Redmi Note 7 is priced at 999 yuan (US$ 147 / ₹ 10,390 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version. It costs 1199 yuan (US$ 176 / ₹ 12,460 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version. The highest end costs 1399 yuan (US$ 205 / ₹ 14,540 approx.) i.e. 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version. The Redmi Note 7 phone comes in Black, Blue and Purple colors. It will be available for order in China from today and goes on sale from January 15th. The company is also providing 18 months warranty instead of regular 12 months.
