The Dark Mode for YouTube was introduced in last year. But it was available only in the desktop in the beginning followed by the iOS in March this year. All these days, it was not available on Android. If you are one of those Android users who has been longing for this update, you can be happy now. Because, the Google is now rolling out the YouTube dark mode update for its Android smartphone users.

You can head to the Settings > General in your device to see if this feature is available on your smartphone now. If it is not yet available, do not worry. It will be rolled out to your device very soon. As of now, it is not available even in my device yet. And therefore, I would wait patiently for the update to roll out in my device. You will find the toggle of Dark Theme under the Digital Wellbeing section, near the “Remind me to take a break” feature.

There are several benefits of this dark mode. It will reduce the strain on your eyes by turning the entire interface to black. It also helps in saving the battery life on mobile devices.

This Dark theme feature is one of the latest introductions by the YouTube in the recent past. The company started allowing the creators to include hashtags in the description and title to improve the searchability. Reports on the company testing a new Explore tab like feature on iOS devices is flooding across the tech world. It is expected to replace the existing Trending section in the platform.
