After the launch of iPhone X, Android manufacturers have started adopting gesture support and certainly Xiaomi doesn’t want to remain behind in the race. Xiaomi had introduced Mi MIX 2 the only device launched in India with 18:9 aspect ratio. Later, the other Xiaomi devices like Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro were launched in India with 18:9 ratio.
Xiaomi announced in their post through MI Community that it will roll out the Full Screen gestures for all 18:9 aspect ratio devices with MIUI 9.5. As, you know that Xiaomi released the MIUI 9.5 Stable ROM with New Notification Shade, Quick Replies and many more features for a list of Xiaomi devices last week.
How to enable full-screen gestures
- Go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Full screen display’ option.
- On the next screen select ‘Full screen gestures’ radio button option
- The phone will show a dialogue box to show a tutorial, you can swipe left or right to go back. And, to go back to Home screen you can swipe from Bottom.
- You can also enable/disable animation for the ‘Go Back’ gesture, and can also choose and force apps to work in full screen mode.
