Nokia have been introducing new stuff at CES and this time Nokia’s health division team have announced a new device at CES 2018 event. Nokia introduces a new sleep sensor that works with IFTTT, which means along with just monitoring your sleep, the device can help you trigger actions using IFTTT when you get in and out of bed. The best part about IFTTT is that Nokia sleep can be paired with other devices. For instance when you get out of bed in the morning, the Nokia sleep could tell IFTTT to raise the temperature, switch on the lights and many more.
This device came up as a result of the acquisition of Withings back in April 2017 which is a health and fitness focused gadget maker. They already had a sleep-focused device called the Withings Aura that both a sleep sensor and a bedside unit with a speaker and an alarm.
The new device that has been launched by Nokia has a sensor that works using Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth LE. You need to put your device under your mattress, then Nokia Health Mate app can track your sleep cycles and Nokia sleep can track your snoring. The device is expected to ship at some point during the first quarter of 2018 for $100.
