Ending all the rumors, the ZTE announced the company’s first foldable smartphone, ZTE Axon M which sports a dual 5.2-inch 1080p displays.
These displays support 4 different modes:
- Traditional Mode: Only one screen.
- Mirror Mode: You can view the same content on two screens at the same time.
- Extended Mode: You will be able to use a single app, watch movies or play games in the 6.75-inch screen.
- Dual Mode: Open different applications each on both the screens.
The mobile is powered by a combination of Snapdragon 821 processor and 4 GB RAM besides running on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box. Let’s now have a detailed look at the specifications of ZTE Axon M.

Display
The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass dual displays at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels on both the screens which are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

It is powered by Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 Mobile Platform with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) out of the box. The mobile can be upgraded later to Android 8.0 (Oreo).
Storage
The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded using the microSD card.
Camera
It has only one 20MP camera with dual LED Flash, PDAF, dual-image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture. This single camera can be used as selfie and real cameras.
Connectivity
The device supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity features.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 3180mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 charging technology and weighing 230 grams with 150.8 x 71.6 x 12.1mm size measurements.
Additional Features
The smartphone also packs AKM4962 audio chip, Dolby Atmos, Stereo speakers and 3.5 mm audio jack features.
Price and availability
ZTE Axon M will be available in Black color at $24.17 per month for 30 months via AT&T in the United States exclusively. The smartphone will be available in other markets such as Japan, Europe and China very soon.
