As promised, the Coolpad has launched the company’s latest smartphone, Coolpad Cool Play 6 at an event in Dubai. The highlight of the mobile is the company’s promise to make Android 8 available on it by December 2017. Let us now have a detailed look at its specifications.

Coolpad Cool Play 6 Specifications


The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.


It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 653 (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) Mobile Platform with Adreno 510 GPU and runs on Journey UI which is based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. The OS can be upgraded to Android 8 by December 2017.


The device comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory.


It has 13-megapixel dual primary cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity and Sensors

The device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on board to provide an extra layer of security besides supporting 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0 Type-C and Dual SIM (nano + nano) connectivity features.

Battery and Dimensions

The mobile packs 4000mAh (minimum) / 4060mAh (typical) battery and weighs 175 grams with 152.4×75.2×8.45mm size measurements.

Price and Availability

The smartphone will be available in Gold and Black colors at a price of Rs 14,999 exclusively via from September 4, 2017.
