LG G6 launched in India at Rs 51,990

As promised, LG launched its latest prestigious smartphone in the G series, LG G6 at an event in India. The mobile was initially launched at Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona back in February. It has IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance and you can dip the smartphone in up to 1.5 meters of water till 30 minutes. LG G6 is the first smartphone to sport the Dolby Vision Technology. LG G6 Specifications


The smartphone sports a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD display at a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels with 564 ppi pixel density and 18:9 aspect ratio.


It is powered by Quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and runs on LG UX 6.0 which is based on Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box. The user interface also has Google Assistant to help you accomplish the tasks using voice commands in an interactive manner.


The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 2 TB using microSD card.


The smartphone has 13-megapixel primary dual cameras with dual-tone LED Flash, OIS 2.0, 4K video recording, 71-degree-wide angle lens, secondary primary camera with 125-degree lens and a 5-megapixel front camera with 100-degree wide-angle lens.

Connectivity and Sensors

G6 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on board to provide an extra layer of security besides supporting 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible) connectivity features.

Battery and other details

LG G6 packs a 3300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and weighs 163 grams with 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9mm size measurements.

LG G6 will be available in Mystic White, Ice Platinum and Astro Black colors at a price of Rs 51,990 from April 25 via Amazon.
