Meizu announced the company’s latest Smartphone, Meizu M5 at an event in China. The Smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the home button using which the users can unlock the device in 0.2 seconds. Let us have a look at the specfications of the gadget in detail.
Meizu M5 Specifications
The Smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with 1000:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor with Mali T860 GPU and runs on Yun OS 5.1 with FlyMe OS 5.5. The device comes with 2 GB / 3 GB RAM and 16GB (eMMC 5.0)/ 32GB (eMMC 5.0) internal storages that can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD.
It has a 13 MP primary camera with 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, dual-tone LED Flash and a 5 MP Selfie camera with 4P Lens, f/2.0 aperture. The device supports GPS / GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz) and 4G VoLTE. It features a 3070 mAh battery and weighs 138 grams.
Meizu M5 will be available in Matte Black, Sapphite Blue, Champagne Gold, Glacier White and Mint Green colors at 699 yuan (US$ 103 / Rs. 6,890) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and 899 yuan (US$ 132 / 8,860 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant. The mobile will be available in China from today and will go sale from November. There is no any buzz yet on when this device will be released globally.
