BSNL vs Reliance Jio

bsnl vs reliance jio

There is much going on in the telecom sector in India since the inception of Jio in the country. Jio introduced a wide range of data plans with free voice calls at economy rates. And let’s not forget the Welcome Jio offer by the company that offers free access to multiple apps and services till December 31, 2016. All these offers encouraged other operators to introduce both data and voice plans at economical rates. BSNL is the latest among them. So, it’s going to be BSNL vs Reliance Jio very soon.

Yes, BSNL is in plans to provide free voice calling at plans that will be cheaper than even Reliance Jio. At present Jio customers get free voice calls and free data for three months for 4G subscribers, but BSNL wants to extend this offer to 3G and 2G subscribers as well.

Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL told to Times of India,

“We are closely observing the market as well as Jio’s performance. We will also come up with lifetime free-voice plans from the new year as part of fresh offerings.”

The cheapest plan in Jio is priced at Rs 149. So we can expect BSNL to offer the plans lower than this rate. Every day these days begins or ends with a news on network tariff rates. So, it will be interesting to see if how other operators such as Idea, Vodafone and Airtel will slash their rates or not.
