Google to display the lyrics within the search results

There is good news for music lovers. Google will start showing the lyrics within the search results very soon. The company has signed a deal with LyricFind, a Toronto-based company regarding the same. And therefore, Google will display lyrics from over 4000 publishers not only in its search results but also in its Google Play Music app.

Darrly Ballantyne, the CEO of LyricFind expressed, “We’re happy to expand the depth and quality of lyrics available on Google’s services. We’re working together to make lyrics available to a larger audience in a faster and more efficient way.”

In a way, this partnership will definitely result in new ways of earning revenue for music makers and publishers. The feature is already available for certain users in the US since Monday.

The team LyricFind said, “LyricFind has been the main driver behind creating a legal and global lyric infrastructure for all platforms, and its partnership with Google further strengthens this mission. LyricFind collects new royalties for songwriters and rights holders, and benefits music fans who engage more easily than ever with lyrics that inspire them.”

Here onwards, the users will no longer have to rely on third-party apps to get the lyrics of their favorite songs.

Let us know whether you have been really waiting for this feature in the comments section below. We would love to hear from you.
