OPPO has recently unveiled the A2x, their latest addition to the budget-friendly 5G smartphone lineup within the A series in China. This release comes on the heels of last month’s A2 Pro launch. The A2x boasts a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Dimensity 6020 SoC, essentially a rebranded Dimensity 700 chipset. It features a generous 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.
In terms of photography, the phone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. The device sports a textured back design for an enhanced grip and houses a robust 5000mAh battery. Notably, OPPO claims that this battery is optimized for longevity, with the capacity to last for up to 4 years or endure 1,200 charging cycles while maintaining a battery health of over 80%.

It is powered by Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 7nm processor (Dual 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 + Hexa 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs) with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1.

The phone comes with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.2) storage, expandable memory with microSD.
Camera
This phone features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash. On the front side, it has a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The mobile supports 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C. It has a Dual SIM, a 3.5mm audio jack, a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Dust and water resistance (IP54).

The phone packs a 5000mAh (typical) battery with 10W charging. The phone has dimensions of 163.8×75.1×8.12mm and weight is 185g.
Price and Availability
The OPPO A2x is available in three stylish color options: Midnight Black, Muguang Gold, and Feishuang Purple. The pricing starts at 1099 yuan (equivalent to USD 152 or approximately Rs. 12,575) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at 1399 yuan (approximately USD 194 or Rs. 16,005). The phone is already available for purchase in China.
