Some of the best things in your life can be free, but that is not in the case of mobile applications. Because there are paid apps which can blow your mind and make your life much simpler. But you will have to use a credit card in most of the cases to buy those apps. If you don’t have any credit card, then what is gonna be the next available option? Let’s find that out in this post.
Before jumping into the discussion, we’d like to note you that the methods which we are going to share here depend on your locality and the smartphone you own. Let’s now start with the Android devices.
For Android Users
If you own an Android smartphone, then you are probably installing the app from Google PlayStore. For the US citizens, the payment options other than Credit Card are as follows:
- Mobile Phone Billing
If you rely on this method, the purchases you make in Google PlayStore will be added to your mobile phone bill. Below is the list of carriers which can support this service:
- Verizon
- US Cellular
- T-Mobile
- Sprint
- Boost
- AT&T
This is the easiest way to purchase a mobile app. There could be a monthly limit for your monthly mobile bill. You might want to check that with your network provider.
- Google Play Gift Card
Just like any other Gift Card, the Google Play Gift Card has code which you can redeem to add balance in your account. You will not have to go to any store to buy the gift card, you can buy them from the Amazon, Walmart or other retailers with e-mail delivery.
- PayPal
You can always use a PayPal account to buy the apps on Android. But unless someone sends the money to your account, you will again have to rely on Debit card or Credit card to add balance to your account. It means this method serves our purpose only partially.
For iOS Users
If you are an iPhone user, then your only option to install apps would be from the App Store. For some unknown reasons, you cannot buy the apps using any carrier service on Apple App Store. It means our options are only limited to the following:
- PayPal
You can use the PayPal as well to purchase the apps on Apple AppStore. As mentioned earlier in the Android section of this post, unless someone sends you the money via PayPal, you will again have to depend on the Debit or Credit card to add the money to your account.
- App Store Gift Card
You can use App Store Gift Cards to buy the apps on iOS. You can buy them at the supermarket or a local tech store.
