Mukesh Ambani had introduced the JioPhone on July 21, 2017 as ‘India ka Smartphone’. Today at the annual AGM Reliance introduced JioPhone 2 as the successor JioPhone. It sports a new design with a full QWERTY hardware keyboard and a 2.4-inch QVGA screen. It has cat.4 LTE support with download speeds of up to 150Mbps with support for both LTE (Band 3,5,40) and 2G (900/1800). But, the other specifications about processor is not cleared yet, we should know closer to the sale date.
It has same specifications as the first-gen JioPhone like KAI OS, cameras, battery capacity, RAM, storage and connectivity features. But, it comes with Dual SIM support, unlike the first generation model that only comes with single SIM. As, per company sale of JioPhone will not be stopped even after the JioPhone 2 releases. JioPhone 2 specifications
The mobile sports a 2.4-inch (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and also have QWERTY hardware keyboard and 4-way navigation bar.
It is powered by KAI OS.
The device comes with 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, the internal storage can be expanded using microSD card.
It has2MP rear camera and 0.3MP (VGA) front camera.
Connectivity & Sensors
The mobile supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC, USB 2.0. It also has Dual SIM and 3.5mm audio jack,FM.
Battery and Dimensions
The mobile packs 2000mAh battery.
Price and availability
The JioPhone 2 is priced at Rs. 2999 and it will be available starting from August 15th.
