Honor 7A

Huawei’s Honor brand announced the company’s latest budget smartphone Honor 7A. It sports a 5.77-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It comes with face unlock feature and has a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.

It has dual camera the primary is a 13 MP and the secondary is 2 MP to capture the depth information for portrait shots. On the front side it has a 8 MP front-facing camera with soft LED flash that can be adjusted depending on the lighting conditions. The front camera also support beauty mode.

It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0.

Storage

The device comes in two variants 2GB / 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, the storage memory can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD.

Camera

It has dual camera the primary is 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and secondary is 2MP rear camera.

On the front side it has 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity & Sensors

The mobile supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. It has 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and a dedicated Dual SIM. It also has a Fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.

Battery and Dimensions

The mobile 3000mAh (typical) / 2900mAh (minimum) built-in battery, it has size measurement of 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm and weight 150g.

Price and availability

The Honor 7A is priced at 799 yuan (US$ 126 / Rs. 8,250 approx.) for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version and it costs 999 yuan (US$ 158 / Rs. 10,315 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB version. It comes in Black Gold and Blue colors. It is available for order now and will go on sale in China from April 3rd.
