The best way to describe how messy one’s life is by talking about how disorganized the files in their personal computers are. No matter how hard we try to arrange them well, they always end up getting back to the same unsorted manner. How to delete old files in the download folder automatically in the Windows 10?
- Navigate to Settings > System > Storage
- Now toggle on the Storage Sense option.
- Select Change how we free up space.
- Check Delete files in my Downloads folder that haven’t changed for over 30 days and Delete temporary files that my apps aren’t using.
Note: If you want the files in the Recycle bin also to be deleted automatically in the same manner, please check You can also check Delete files that have been in the recycle bin for over 30 days.
Another important point to be noted here is that not every file in the download folder will be deleted automatically, but only the ones which you haven’t touched at all for a period of 30 days.
