Just as expected, the Samsung also made a big announcement ahead of the upcoming CES 2018 event. The South Korean company introduced its latest processor, Exynos 9 Series 9810 SoC which is built on second-generation 10nm FinFET process technology. The tech giant is of the opinion that its latest Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor is the most innovative mobile processor with richer multimedia content and AI applications.

It is said to improve the single core performance by two times and multi-core performance by around 40 percent when compared to its predecessor. The latest Samsung processor is currently in mass production phase and we can expect it to be launched with the company’s upcoming devices like Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus in this year.

Ben Hur, Vice President of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics said,

The Exynos 9 Series 9810 is our most innovative mobile processor yet, with our third-generation custom CPU, ultra-fast gigabit LTE modem and, deep learning-enhanced image processing. The Exynos 9810 will be a key catalyst for innovation in smart platforms such as smartphones, personal computing and automotive for the coming AI era.

Other security features also contains a processing unit which protects user information such as fingerprint, iris and facial data. It also comes with firewalls that separates internal sub-systems from each other. The tech experts in the industry are really waiting to see whether how it will perform against Apple A11 Bionic Soc processor that is being used on iPhone X smartphone.

The Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor is said to support the four image sensors very smoothly. So you can expect it to deliver fast outputs while clicking portrait shots. In terms of display, it will support WQUXGA and 4K UHD at a resolution of 2400×3840 pixels and 4096×2160 pixels. You can presume the Virtual Reality to work like a charm on this processor.

On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor has been launched recently. We can expect it also to ship with the Galaxy S9 smartphones depending on the regions.
