YouTube for iPhone X now offers full screen mode

For those of you who have an iPhone, good news for you if you are a video lover. The company has added the support to view the videos in an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. Yes, the YouTube app for iOS has received an update which let the users to view the videos in the latest aspect ratio with full-screen viewing support.

iPhone X is the first smartphone from the family of Apple to sport an edge-to-edge display with a Super Retina display. But since the launch, the users could view the videos only in the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. The latest pinch to zoom feature will enlarge the videos in the full screen mode to let the video occupy the entire screen.

If this feature is not available to you yet, please check whether the version number of the YouTube for iOS app in your smartphone is 12.43 or not. The update is available right away on the App Store in case if you haven’t updated the YouTube app yet. You must note that this feature will crop the content from top as well as the bottom.

The Apple has introduced the iPhone X back in September, but, the developers of the iOS apps are yet to make use of the best that is being offered by the Apple. That’s why it is good to see the YouTube adding the support to view the videos in the full screen. And pretty soon, you will see all the major video related apps following this trend.
