SwiftKey keyboard updated with Photo Themes feature

The latest update in the SwiftKey brings a new feature called Photo Themes. Just as the name sounds, it will let the users to create a personalized theme using the images for the SwiftKey keyboard. It is currently available on both iOS as well as Android. If you still haven’t got the update yet, kindly be patient or navigate to the PlayStore or the AppStore to update the app.

Once the app is updated, you will find this new Photo Themes feature under the Themes tab which is located near the SwiftKey Settings. You can either choose an image that the app provides or go ahead and choose one from your Photo Library. The Android users will be able to customize more by bordering the keys, symbols and secondary characters as well.

The iOS users can modify the color of the keys which will be visible when pressed. You can find this feature in the Design tab on the SwiftKey app.

The company has also joined hands with Keith Ladzinski, the contributing photographer at National Geographic to launch the Photo Themes feature. You will find around 12 images clicked by Mr Ladzinski which is all about the nature. If you don’t want to use your own images, you can go ahead and choose any one of these 12 images for the background of your keyboard.

Besides this, the company is also arranging a competition for Photo Themes. If you are interested, you can also participate it by submitting the modified SwiftKey boards via Twitter using the hashtag #photothemes. This competition will go on till the end of November and the company will select the winners every week and award them with Amazon Gift Card worth $150 in addition to a limited edition SwiftKey Hoodie sweatshirt.
