Samsung announced the company’s latest tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2. The device comes with a new fingerprint scanner that provides facial recognition and improved security authentication for hands-free access.

The gadget is MIL-STD-810 certified. It means that the Galaxy Tab Active2 tablet will be able to withstand drops, vibration, environments, temperatures, and excessive pressure.

The device comes with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB using the microSD card.

It is packed with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance besides featuring 1.2m Anti-shock with inbox protective cover and MIL-STD-810G.

Battery and Dimensions

The tablet packs a 4,450 mAh battery and weighs 415g (Wi-Fi) / 419g (LTE) with 127.6 x 214.7 x 9.9mm size measurements.

Price and availability

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 will be available in Black color in chosen markets from October 2017. There is no news yet regarding the pricing of the device.
