HMD Global announced the company’s latest budget smartphone, Nokia 2. The mobile sports 5-inch HD display that is supported by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also packs a massive 4100 mAh battery that can provide a battery life of up to 2 days on a single charge. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box and can be updated later to Android Oreo.

The body of Nokia 2 boasts 6000 series aluminium frame and a polycarbonate back which also comes with splash proof, thanks to its IP52 ratings. It supports Dual SIM in some markets and single SIM in a few other markets.

The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD LTPS LCD In-Cell Touch display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 212 Mobile Platform with Adreno 304 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. The OS can be upgraded later to the Android Oreo.

Storage

The device comes with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 128 GB using the microSD card.

Camera

It has 8-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash and 5-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity

The device supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / GLONASS and Dual SIM connectivity features.

Battery

The mobile packs a massive 4100 mAh battery and has 143.5 x 71.3 x 9.30 mm size measurements.

Additional Features

The smartphone supports FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack and Splash Proof (IP52) features.

Price and availability

Nokia 2 will be available in Copper Black, Pewter White and Pewter Black colors. The mobile will go on sale from mid-November at an average price of 99 Euros (US$ 115 / Rs. 7465 approx.). The Indian price will be revealed before or during the launch in the country.
