Micromax Bharat-1 BSNL 4G VoLTE feature phone

Micromax Bharat-1 BSNL 4G VoLTE feature phone has been launched in India by the Micromax. This mobile is a result of collaboration with State-owned telecom, BSNL. The launch clearly an indication is that even BSNL is serious about its battle against the Reliance Jio’s JioPhone.

The mobile comes with exciting offers such as unlimited calling and unlimited data from the BSNL just at Rs 97 per month. But, if you want to switch the network later, you can do that as well. This is something that’s missing in the JioPhone as the mobile is exclusive only to the Jio network.

Bharat-1 is powered by the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform and supports Dual SIM connectivity which means that you will be able to insert 2G/3G SIM in the additional slot. The mobile also features entertainment apps for Videos, Movies, Music and Live TV besides supporting 22 languages.

It is powered by 1.1GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform (MSM8905) with Adreno 304 GPU.

The device comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage that can be expanded using the microSD card.

It has 2-megapixel primary camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera.

Connectivity

The mobile supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, USB 2.0 connectivity features.

Battery

Bharat-1 smartphone packs 2000 mAh battery.

Price and availability

Micromax Bharat-1 will be available in Black color at a price of Rs 2200 and will be available in the great Indian sub-continent from October 20.

Our view on Micromax Bharat-1

It’s surprising as well as interesting to see a 4G VoLTE feature smartphone that is powered by the BSNL network. However, the Jio also needs appreciation for being responsible for turning the Indian smartphone market into an interesting battlefield. And the telecom companies are competing against each other more like the Gladiators.
