As promised, the Xiaomi announced the company’s latest smartphone, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 at an event in China. The mobile which sports a Ceramic body is powered by a combination of Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor and 6 GB RAM. The company is also talking about a special edition version that packs 8 GB RAM. The smartphone sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display at a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels with DCI-P3 color gamut and 1500:1 contrast ratio.

It is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU and runs on MIUI 9 which is based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.
Storage
The device comes with 6 GB RAM and 8 GB RAM variants. While the former packs 64 GB / 128 GB / 256 GB internal storages, the latter comes with 128 GB internal storage.
Camera
It has a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, 4K video recording and 5MP front-facing camera with facial recognition, 1080p video recording.

Price and availability
The standard version of the smartphone will be available in Black color with four-sided curved ceramic body and aluminum alloy frame at price of (US$ 506 / Rs. 32,350 approx.), 3599 yuan (US$ 552 / Rs. 35,280 approx.) and (US$ 613 / Rs. 39,210 approx.) for the 6 GB RAM – 64 GB ROM, 6 GB RAM – 128 GB ROM and 6 GB RAM – 256 GB ROM versions respectively.
The Mi MIX 2 Special Edition smartphone that sports a ceramic body will be available in White and Black colors at a price of 4699 yuan (US$ 721 / Rs. 46,060 approx.) for the 8 GB RAM – 128 GB ROM variant respectively.
