A few days ago in this week, Lenovo launched the company’s latest smartphone, Lenovo K8 Plus in the K series. The mobile packs 5.2-inch full HD curved glass display, runs on Stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and much more. K8 Plus will also receive the Oreo update. Display

The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 450 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Platform

It is powered by 2.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 16nm processor with Mali-T880 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box. The OS can be upgraded later to Android Oreo.

Camera

It has a 13MP rear camera with Largan 5P lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash, secondary 5MP camera and 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens, LED flash.

The device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on board besides supporting 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG and Dual SIM connectivity features.

Battery and Dimensions

The mobile packs 4000 mAh built-in battery and weighs 165 grams with 147.9 x 73.7 x 8.99mm size measurements.

Price and availability

The smartphone will be available in Venom Black and Fine Gold colors at a price starting from Rs 10,999 for the 3 GB RAM version via Flipkart. The 4 GB RAM version of the Lenovo K8 Plus will be launched around the Diwali period.

Additional features

K8 Plus is also integrated with a special hardware key to play or pause the music. You can customize this button to launch any other app as well.

Our verdict

Lenovo mobiles are known for its long lasting battery performance. So, the 4000 mAh battery looks promising. It is also interesting to see a confirmation by the company regarding the roll out of Oreo to K8 Plus smartphone.
