Moto India launched the company’s latest smartphone, Moto G5S in India. The mobile comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p screen and an enhanced 16MP primary camera with Snapdragon 430 SoC. It comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front, metal unibody design and much more. Let us have a look at its specifications.

Display

The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full HD display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Platform

It is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.

Storage

The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 128 GB using microSD card.

Camera

It has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording and 5MP front-facing camera with flash, f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity and Sensors

The device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on board to provide an extra layer of security besides supporting 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and Dual SIM connectivity features.

The mobile packs 3000 mAh battery with Turbo Charging technology and weighs 157 grams with 150×73.5×8.2mm to 9.5 mm size measurements.

Price and availability

Moto G5S will be available in Fine Gold and Lunar Gray colors at a price of Rs 13,999 exclusively via Amazon.in in India. It will also be available via offline stores in the country.

  • While Moto G5 has a 5-inch display, the Moto G5S comes with the 5.2-inch display. In terms of the processor and the GPU, both the mobiles are equipped with the same hardware. The camera also got an upgrade to 16 MP. These are the major changes. Almost everything else remains the same.
  • Look wise, the G5s looks much like the G5 smartphone.
