Xiaomi launched the company’s latest phablet, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in India. Let us now have a detailed look at its specifications and availability.

The phablet sports a 6.44-inch full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 450 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 72 % NTSC color gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Platform
It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box.
Storage
The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that can be expanded using the microSD card.
The mobile will also be available with 32 GB internal storage.
Camera
It has 12-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size and 5-megapixel front camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity and Sensors
The device is equipped with Infrared and Fingerprint sensors besides supporting 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and Hybrid Dual SIM (micro+nano/microSD) connectivity features.
Battery and Dimensions
The phablet packs 5300mAh (typical) / 5200mAh (minimum) battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Price and Availability
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be available in Matte Black color at a price of Rs 16,999 in India. The phablet will be available for sale on July 20 and July 21 at 12 PM via Mi.com and Mi home to mark the Mi 3rd anniversary sale. Additionally, the mobile will be available via Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm mall and Tata Cliq from July 27, 10 AM and offline stores like BigC, Poorvika, Reliance Digital, eZone, Vijay Sales, Lot, Croma and Sangeetha on the same day.
Update (On September 18): The Xiaomi has launched the 32 GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 smartphone at a price of Rs 14999. It will also be available at an offer price of Rs 12999 in the country via Amazon.in and Mi.com e-commerce sites.
